The California community with the largest Vietnamese population is the Northern California city of San Jose in Santa Clara County, followed by the Southern California cities of Garden Grove and Westminster in Orange County. Vietnamese American Populations as of the 2010 census:

Vietnamese Lunar New Year in California

VSASC Tet Festival
Three day lunar new year festival held in January or February at the Orange County Fair and Event Center in Costa Mesa. Hosted by the "Vietnamese Student Associations Southern California". Moved from Garden Grove to Costa Mesa in 2014.

Vietnamese Community of SoCal Tet Festival
Three day lunar new year festival held in January orFebruary at sixacre Graden Grove Park in the city of Garden Grove. Hosted in 2014 by the "Vietnamese Community of Southern California" organization.

Los Angeles Tet Festival
Two day lunar new year festival held since 2003 at Whittier Narrows Park in South El Monte, San Gabriel Valley, Los Angeles County.

Northern California Tet Festival
Two day Lunar New Year festival in January or February at the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds on Tully Road in San Jose. One of the largest Vietnamese culture celebrations outside of Vietnam. Held for more then 30 years.

OC Tet Festival
Two day event held in January or February at Bolsa Grande High School in Garden Grove. Organized jointly by the Hong-Bang Cultural Center and Bolsa Grande High School in Orange County.

Vietnam War Museum of America
Fund raising effort to build a museum in Garden Grove's Little Saigon to promote an understanding of the Vietnam War from the viewpoint of the South Vietnamese veterans and civilians who immigrated to the United States after living through the war.
