Historic Districts of Anaheim

Information about officially designated historic districts in Anaheim, California.

Anaheim Colony Historic District
First and largest historic district in Anaheim. It was recognized by the Anaheim City Council in October of 1997. The boundaries of the district match the boundaries of the original Germany colony founded in 1857 (North Street, South Street, East Street, and West Street). The district has ore than 1,000 structures considered to be qualified as historic. Four The Anaheim City Council approved installing four Anaheim Colony Monuments on January 26, 1999, to mark the four main entries to the district. Those monuments are located at:
- North Street and Anaheim Boulevard
- South Street and Anaheim Boulevard
- East Street and Lincoln Boulevard
- West Street and Lincoln Avenue

Five Points Historic District
Historic district recognized by the Anaheim City Council in October of 2004. It is named after the site where the historic Five Points commercial building was originallly located. That building has been moved west, restored, and is now the home of Ruby's Deluxe Restaurant and Drive-In.

Palm Historic District
Historic district recognized by the Anaheim City Council in October of 2006. The district was named after the former Palm Street that is now known as Harbor Boulevard. Has about 180 structures considered to be qualified as historic.

Hoskins Historic District
Historic district recognized by the Anaheim City Council in December of 2008. It is a small neighborhood that was formerly part of the Anaheim Colony Historic District. It was made a separate historic district because of its concentration of interesting more homes built in the 1940's and 1950's, during the the era after World War II. 43 of the 53 properties in the district are considered to be qualified as historic structures.
