Attractions in Carlsbad
Information about tourist attractions in the Southern California beach
city of Carlsbad, California. Some of the most popular Carlsbad visitor
attractions - other then the city's beautiful beaches and parks - are
LegoLand, Flower Fields, the historic Carillo Ranch, and the Museum
of Making Music.
Legoland California Theme Park
The Legoland Theme Park in Southern California
has a model village with landmarks scenes from
around the world made out of Lego bricks.
Legoland also has roller coasters and other rides,
but they are not super-extreme because the park
was built primarily with small children in mind.
The Carlsbad California Legoland opened on March 20, 1999
and it is the only Legoland located outside of Europe.
Legoland Carlsbad is split into ine sections:
(1) The Beginning, (2) Dino Island, (3) Explore Village, (4) Fun Town,
(5) Knight's Kingdom, (6) Miniland USA, (7) Imagination Zone, (8) Pirate Shores,
and (9) Land of Adventure.

Carlsbad Ranch Flower Fields
The Carlsbad Flower Fields is the name of an attraction located on a 50
acre flower farm adjacent to the Carlsbad Outlets Mall.
The Flower Fields are open to the public when the flowers are in
bloom, usually between March and May. The attraction
highlights Carlsbad's history ornamental flower industry.
Visitors can walk through the fields, take a narrated
tractor-powered wagon ride, and view a giant 300 foot by
170 foot American flag planted on flowers on a hillside.
Leo Carillo Ranch Historic Park
Visitors to Carlsbad can take a self-guided walking tour of this historic
Spanish style rancho that is listed on the
National Register of Historic Places. The Leo Carillo Ranch is
also a State of California Historical Landmark.
The walking tour includes several steep slopes and it can
take up to two hours to complete.

Museum of Making Music
The Carlsbad Museum of Making Music is the official
museum of the International Music Products Association (IMPA)
That organization was formerly called the National Association
of Music Merchants and it is still referred to as NAMM by many
musicians. The Museum of Making Music was founded in 1998
its exhibits highlight the history of music-making products in the United States
from the 1890's to the present day.
