Silent Film Benefit
Annual benefit for the Catalina Island Museum. Features the screening of a silent film in the beautiful art-deco theater of the historic Catalina Casino accompanied by live music. Typically held in May.

Casino Behind the Scenes Tour
The Behind the Scenes Casino Tour offered by the Catalina Island Company is a 90 minute tour that adds visiting the previously off-limits Avalon Theater backstage and projection room areas to the Casino's basic tour. Typically available twice a day.

Catalina Wine Mixer
Annual weekend beach party in Avalon inspired by the Catalina Wine Mixer scene in the Will Ferrell comedy film Step Brothers". Includes live music, dancing, cocktails, and food at the Descanso Beach Club plus a screening of the film in the art deco theater inside the historic Catalina Casino.Typically held in September.

Catalina Film Festival
Annual film festival featuring film screenings in the art deco theater inside the historic Catalina Casino. Charter "party boat" ferry transportation from Long Beach is usually offered, but attendees are also welcome to arrange their own transportation. Typically held around the end of September.

Nightly Movies at the Avalon Theater
The art deco Avalon Theater inside the historic Catalina island Casino features mostly first run movies screened nightly at 7:30. Friday and Saturday night films are preceeded by a one hour organ music concert on the theater's original pipe organ.

Summer Movie Series on Catalina

Avalon Movies on the Beach
Summer outdoor film-screening series held weekly at dusk at the 30th Street Beach in Avalon, typically from late June through mid-August.

Avalon Movies at the Museum
Summer outdoor film-screening series held in the Ackerman Family Amphitheater on the roof of the Catalina Island Museum. Typically held from late June through mid-August.
