Facts About La Paloma Theatre
  • Built in 1927 and 1928
  • 540 seats
  • Spanish Colonial style building
  • Architect was Edward J. Baum
  • Builder was Frank E. Brown
  • Originally it was primarily a silent movie house but the grand opening on February 11, 1928 freatured one of the first talking movies shown in the area: "The Cohens and Kelleys in Paris". Actress Mary Pickford attended the grand opening.
  • Theater is used today for movies, concerts, and stage shows and there is a live performance of the Rocky Horror Picture Show almost every Friday at midnight.
