O.CO Colisium
Also known as the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum and sometimes as simply
the Oakland Coliseum.
First opened on September 18, 1966 for a football game between the Oakland
Raiders and the Kansas City Chiefs. Extensively renovated in 1995 at
a cost of more then 120 million USD. The renovation added more than 20,000
additional seats and 90 luxury suites.
Today the O.CO Coliseum is the home of the Oakland Raiders NFL Football
Team and the Oakland Athletics MLB Baseball Team. It is also a venue
for many live concerts and other outdoor stadium sports events.
The stadium is located on the grounds of the 132 acre
Oakland Alameda County Arena and Coliseum Complex.
Oracle Arena
First opened on November 9, 1966 for a hockey game between the
Oakland Seals and the San Diego Gulls. Extensively renovated in 1996 at
a cost of about 100 million USD. At that time the interior of the arena was
completely demolished and rebuilt to accomodate 4,000 to 19,200 people, depending
on the event and the seat configuration. 72 luxury suites were also added.
Today the Oracle Arena is the home of the Gold State Warriors NBA Basketball Team
and a venue for many live concerts and other indoor arena sports events.
The arena is located on the grounds of 132 acre the Oakland Alameda County Arena
and Coliseum Complex
