Anacapa Island in California

A photo and information for visitors to Anacapa Island, in Channel Islands National Park, off the coast of Southern California. Anacapa is really three islets, known as East Island, West Island, and Middle Island. Visitor attractions include a two mile trail system, more then 30 sea caves, seal and sea lion colonies, one of the largest California brown pelican breeding colonies, and the Anacapa Lighthouse, first lit in 1932. Anacapa Island is located about 14 miles from the city of Ventura.
